Production Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Assists Director and the Line Producer on all departments throughout production which includes artwork, animation and post production
  • Oversee day to day/week to week production progress and be able to foresee problems and bottlenecks
  • Ensure milestones and quotas are being met and work with the Line Producer to suggest course-correction to the schedule if needed
  • Manage and distribute weekly production reports and provide frequent updates to the Director, Producer and Production team
  • Manage and delegate client notes to production team, creating internal schedules and screenings for approvals and revisions
  • Track and maintain production data such as artwork, rigs, props and backgrounds via the database with the help of the Technical Advisor
  • Knows the skill set of the team and be able to assess and re-task when challenges and work overload become apparent
  • Manage day-to-day administration duties such as vacation requests and submitting payroll
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in relevant field
  • Knowledge of 2D animation techniques and pipeline
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines
  • Multi-tasker and self-starter who thrives in a small, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage and motivate people with a positive attitude and enthusiasm
  • Knowledge of Shotgun, Microsoft Office, Photoshop

 

Senior CG Rigger

Responsibilities:

  • Rig characters and props that support the show
  • Design control mechanisms that are intuitive for animation
  • Work collaboratively with various department leads
  • Stay up to date on new tools for rigging in animation
  • Complete and deliver work on schedule

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Maya rigging
  • Strong modeling abilities
  • Knowledge of Maya shader networks and UV placement
  • Understanding of animation principles
  • Automation knowledge in MEL or Python is an asset

 All crew must have at least 2-5 years experience working in the animation or film industry. Working in pre-school or children’s TV is a plus. Ontario residency and Canadian Citizenship required.
